Stormy Carter, APRN, is a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner with a passion for delivering compassionate, evidence-based care to patients of all ages. Her healthcare journey began at just 17 years old as a Certified Nursing Assistant, inspiring a lifelong commitment to serving others and advancing her education.

Stormy earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and became a Registered Nurse in 2012 before completing her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2019. She currently provides comprehensive care in two local emergency departments, where she treats a wide variety of acute illnesses and injuries while focusing on high-quality, patient-centered care.

In addition to her clinical practice, Stormy is deeply committed to nursing education. She began teaching as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Pittsburg State University in 2016 and joined the nursing faculty full-time in 2019. As an adjunct instructor, she has helped educate both pre-licensure nursing students and future Family Nurse Practitioners, sharing her real-world emergency medicine experience to prepare the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Stormy is passionate about building trusting relationships with her patients and believes in providing personalized care that empowers individuals and families to make informed decisions about their health.
