CT (Computed Tomography)

CT scans create detailed cross-sectional images of the body, allowing physicians to evaluate internal organs, bones, blood vessels, and tissues with precision.

CT Scan Overview

CT imaging may be used to:

  • Diagnose injuries and trauma
  • Detect infections and abnormalities
  • Evaluate internal organs
  • Assist with treatment planning
  • Monitor ongoing medical conditions

Our advanced CT technology helps produce high-quality images while minimizing radiation exposure whenever possible.

Digital X-Ray

Digital radiography remains one of the most commonly used diagnostic tools in healthcare. X-rays help physicians quickly evaluate injuries, illnesses, and conditions affecting bones, joints, and internal structures.

Digital X-rays use advanced digital technology to capture images instantly for review by Girard Medical Center's care team. The rapid process allows for a faster diagnosis and treatment planning.

Digital X-rays are commonly used to diagnose fractures, arthritis, joint conditions, lung concerns, and a variety of other medical issues. Compared to traditional film X-rays, digital imaging uses lower radiation doses while producing higher-quality images that can be enhanced for greater detail when needed.

Benefits of Digital X-Rays

  • High-resolution images for improved diagnostic accuracy
  • Faster image capture and immediate results
  • Lower radiation exposure than many traditional X-ray systems
  • Digital images can be securely shared with specialists when needed
  • Comfortable, non-invasive exam that typically takes just a few minutes

Ultrasound services may be used for:

  • Abdominal imaging
  • Vascular studies
  • Reproductive health evaluations
  • Pregnancy imaging
  • Organ assessments

Our experienced sonographers perform a variety of ultrasound exams while helping patients feel comfortable throughout the process.
