Dr. Douglas K. Brown has been practicing medicine for over 30 years, and has been practicing in Southeast Kansas for the past 18 years. He went to college in Shawnee, Oklahoma at the Oklahoma Baptist University. He then went on to the Oklahoma University Medical School in Oklahoma City. In the first three years of his practice, he worked in Clinton, Oklahoma for the Indian Health Services. Moving to Claremore, Oklahoma he stayed for 11 years. He then left Claremore to practice in Southeast Kansas.

He works with pediatric to geriatric cases, but does not practice obstetrics. He works with a lot of attention deficit disorder (ADD) cases, and enjoys a broad spectrum of practices. He also does mole and skin lesion removals. When he isn’t working, Dr. Brown enjoys fishing and making his own fly fishing spinners. Dr. Brown oversees Girard Express Care and Girard Medical Center's wound care, and pulmonary and cardiac rehab programs.
