Dry Needling

Dry needling is a therapeutic technique used by physical therapists and trained health care providers to relieve musculoskeletal pain and muscle tension. It involves inserting thin, solid-filament needles into myofascial trigger points (muscle knots) to stimulate a local "twitch response," which helps relieve tightness and improve mobility. Dry needling is typically used as part of a broader rehabilitation plan that includes stretching and strengthening exercises. It is commonly used to treat:

  • Chronic neck, back, and shoulder pain
  • Muscle strains and spasms
  • Temporomandibular Joint disorders (TMJ)
  • Plantar fasciitis and tendonitis
  • Tension headaches

  • Sensory processing challenges
  • Handwriting difficulties
  • Coordination and motor planning
  • Self-care skills

Our therapists work closely with families to create engaging, age-appropriate treatment plans that encourage growth, confidence, and independence.

Speech Therapy

Speech Therapy provides evaluation and treatment for individuals experiencing communication, cognitive, voice, language, and swallowing difficulties. Speech Therapy can help adult and pediatric patients with:

  • Speech and language disorders
  • Communication challenges following stroke or neurologic injury
  • Cognitive and memory deficits
  • Voice disorders
  • Swallowing difficulties (dysphagia)

Parkinson Program: LSVT BIG

This is an intensive, evidence-based physical and occupational therapy program designed for individuals with Parkinson's disease. It trains patients to counteract the condition's tendency toward slow, small movements by teaching them to move with larger, more deliberate, and normal-sized movements. LSVT BIG focuses strictly on increasing the "bigness" or amplitude of limb and body movements.

  • Sensory Recalibration: Parkinson's can make patients feel as if they are moving normally, even when their movements have become small and rigid. The program trains your brain to recognize that larger, exaggerated movements are the "new normal".
  • Neuroplasticity: The program utilizes the brain's ability to adapt and rewire itself.

To successfully trigger this brain rewiring, LSVT BIG requires strict and intensive commitment led by a certified physical or occupational therapist.
