Position Overview
Girard Medical Center is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg) team on the night shift.
This position provides an opportunity to deliver hands-on nursing care in a supportive hospital environment while working collaboratively with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate and dependable nurse who is committed to providing safe, responsive, and patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
The RN will provide nursing care to patients in the Med/Surg department while supporting their needs throughout their stay. Responsibilities may include:
- Assessing and monitoring patient conditions
- Developing and carrying out individualized nursing care
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress and changes in condition
- Administering medications and treatments as ordered
- Communicating with physicians and other members of the healthcare team
- Providing patients and families with information and support related to their care
- Responding appropriately to changes in patient needs or condition
- Maintaining accurate and timely patient documentation
- Following established clinical, safety, and infection-control procedures
- Performing additional nursing responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will:
- Be a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Have current CPR certification
- Be available to work full-time night shifts
- Demonstrate strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills
- Work effectively and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Provide compassionate, respectful, and professional patient care
ACLS certification is encouraged.
