Licensed Master Social Worker, Full Time – Senior Behavioral Health

We are seeking an LMSW to join our Senior Behavioral Health team at Girard Medical Center. The qualified candidate will provide group therapy and case management to patients on the Inpatient Unit. The successful candidate will perform psychosocial assessments and develop mutually agreed upon treatment plans with patients. Must be able to work collaboratively on a multidisciplinary team. Preferred experience includes behavioral health and/or experience with the geriatric population.
Full Time, Day Shift, 40 hours/week; On-call every third weekend
Location: Girard Medical Center.
Education: Master's degree in social work and one year of post-master's experience providing clinical social work, preferably in a health care setting. Must be licensed or able to obtain licensure within 90 days of hire.
Preferred Experience: One year in a behavioral health setting with individual and group therapy.
Qualifications:Previous experience in social work, counseling, or other related fields. Compassionate and caring demeanor; ability to build rapport with patients; strong leadership qualities; excellent written and verbal communication skills

About Our Senior Behavioral Health Program
Girard Medical Center's Senior Behavioral Health Program provides compassionate, specialized inpatient psychiatric care for older adults experiencing emotional or behavioral health challenges that interfere with their daily lives. Our interdisciplinary team is dedicated to helping patients regain stability, improve their quality of life, and return to the highest level of independence possible.
The program serves adults, typically age 55 and older, who may be experiencing conditions such as depression, anxiety, grief, mood disorders, behavioral changes related to dementia, or other mental health concerns that require short-term inpatient treatment. Patients receive individualized care through a combination of psychiatric evaluation, medication management, individual and group therapy, family involvement, and discharge planning tailored to their unique needs.
Our Senior Behavioral Health team works collaboratively with patients, families, primary care providers, and community resources to ensure a safe, supportive, and healing environment where each individual is treated with dignity, respect, and compassion.
