Position Overview
Girard Medical Center is seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team on a part-time/PRN basis, working weekend nights in Senior Behavioral Health.
This position is an opportunity to be part of a patient-focused healthcare team while providing important support to patients and clinical staff. The ideal candidate will be dependable, attentive to patient needs, and committed to providing respectful, compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities
As a CNA at Girard Medical Center, you will work as part of the healthcare team to support quality patient care. Responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with patient care and daily needs
- Supporting nursing staff in the delivery of patient care
- Helping maintain a safe, comfortable, and respectful environment for patients
- Communicating effectively with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team
- Following established patient care and safety procedures
- Performing additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold appropriate CNA certification
- Have current CPR certification
- Be available to work weekend night shifts
- Demonstrate a compassionate and professional approach to patient care/li>
- Work effectively as part of a healthcare team
- Be dependable and committed to providing excellent service and care

About Our Senior Behavioral Health Program
Girard Medical Center's Senior Behavioral Health Program provides compassionate, specialized inpatient psychiatric care for older adults experiencing emotional or behavioral health challenges that interfere with their daily lives. Our interdisciplinary team is dedicated to helping patients regain stability, improve their quality of life, and return to the highest level of independence possible.
The program serves adults, typically age 55 and older, who may be experiencing conditions such as depression, anxiety, grief, mood disorders, behavioral changes related to dementia, or other mental health concerns that require short-term inpatient treatment. Patients receive individualized care through a combination of psychiatric evaluation, medication management, individual and group therapy, family involvement, and discharge planning tailored to their unique needs.
Our Senior Behavioral Health team works collaboratively with patients, families, primary care providers, and community resources to ensure a safe, supportive, and healing environment where each individual is treated with dignity, respect, and compassion.
